Circus Ring
The haunting cackle of bells
Tease and torment the innocent.
Fidgeters and hiders are scattered
Surrounding the entrapping well below.
Sly snakes connive together,
They pounce with their venom,
Their victims poisoned, succumbed
To the deceitful strangling grip.
They drag their pray to the nest.
They feast on the entrancing taste.
Mocking laughter erupts
As the crimson red stains the ring.
The death an amusement.
Yet, an unsatisfying hunger lurks.
Another pursuit inevitable.
