Numb Fingers

by Emily Silk

If you are one of the few who remain in St Andrews, you can certainly agree that there is little to do other than distanced beach walks and choosing between Pret or Starbucks for your flat white. Last week however, heavy snow transformed St Andrews into a crystalline blanket of white which brought fun and beauty to the town. As soon as I opened my blinds and saw the dusted streets, a friend of mine messaged to tell me to meet her as we were going sledging. It had not snowed this much since ‘the beast of the east’ back in my first year in March 2018, and so I knew this would be a day to photograph. After hours of sledging, we returned with numb fingers and the discovery that baking trays served as brilliant sledges.
